ISO Parlor floor pocket shutters

Just moved into the parlor floor of a brownstone and looking for salvaged pocket shutters to put in two bedroom windows that each measure 111″ H x 42.5″ W x 14″ D. Is this a standard size? Any guidance on where to look?

I have a pile of them in various sizes that I have been hoarding (mainly diverted from the dumpster during the flip frenzy that goes through the neighborhood from time to time). I’ll check to see if any are the size you need.

PS even refinishing existing is expensive as they have to be stripped sanded and stained/sealed. At least a couple thousand.

A tall order. You can check under the F/G tracks near Lowe’s in Gowanus but it’s going to be hard to find that many unless you get very lucky. Best bet is to have them made. If you want fully custom duplicates of the original in quality hardwoods you’re talking about 1500-2500 each IME.

We had to have 5 made to match existing, including custom knives so they match near perfectly, 2 mahogany, 2 maple, 1 birch and they were 9k. Maybe they can be done for less if they’re not specced to existing. I can say these were 95%++ perfect to the original and I’m extremely picky. No one but me knows which are original and which are new unless you really look closely. A+ job matching stain as well given impossibility of matching grain with new wood.
