Another approach is to hire an ironworker who does casting to make an exact replica of whatever you had originally (in the tax photo) using your neighbors’ still-existing ironwork as a model. Other NYC salvage companies include Old Good Things, Demolition Depot and Build It Green/Big Reuse.

Thanks Cate, do you have any recommendations for an ironworker who does their own castings? All of the local ironwork companies I have contacted buy from Architectural Ironwork in PA, who currently have a significant backlog, or overseas, which is also backlogged.
