Interior Apartment Entrance door size and material

I am reframing the 3rd floor apartment in a brooklyn in a 3-family house. Are interior apartment entrance doors typically wood or metal?

Also regarding the size, what size is preferable? I could probably fit in a 36″ wide door if I wanted to. Is that overkill?

I was going to use a 96″ tall door, but I just googled the prices. >$700. I’ll probably stick with an 80″ tall door.

Thanks guys! [Screen Shot 2019-07-05 at 5](//muut.com/u/brownstoner/s1/:brownstoner:u8bb:screenshot20190705at5.19.40pm.png.jpg)

36″ minimum width by code, 80″ tall minimum
Door needs to be 45 or 90 minutes fire rated depending upon the construction of the building. Go with the 90 to be on the safe side.

Apartment entrance doors in a 3 family , must be fire rated. Typically mettle. There are wooden ones, but they are more expensive.
Go for the largest that will fit, but bare in mind anything that is custom sized will be more expensive.
