Intercom repair guy/installer recommendation

Just wanted to give a shoutout/recommendation for Yaroslav at Melsteph Inc

We are over here at Henry St Brooklyn Heights and had an ABB video intercom installed 5 years ago.

Its been great and highly recommend the system, however recently we were replacing our exterior metal door that required disconnecting and connecting the existing strike plate release locks.

I reached out to the original company to get a quote and was given a ridiculous outrageous quote (even though original quote 5 years ago was very reasonable) they wanted to come in the morning, remove the unit then sit there the 5 hours would take to install the new door…..then install the lock…… getting paid for the entire time – apparently it was cheaper that way than doing 2 call out fees.

Yeh hard pass.

After hunting around i found Yaroslav and not only did he know the ABB system but he used to work for the original company…..but he’s now independent.

Turned up at 7.30 morning of, had everything disconnected and taped up before 8am – was back and 4pm to reconnect/test/ make sure everything was working properly and cheap as.

Cant recommend him enough.
