Installing the tub in/beyond the shower...practicalities?

It’s not quite a fully wet room, but I’m looking at the trend of installing the tub within an oversized shower enclosure… can anyone who’s done this let me know if they love it, or regret it? Since I shower more often than bathe, I’m wondering if I’m going to soak the tub, rather than have a soaking tub. Thanks!
