Info on venting electric dryer in basement to rear garden

Ok. Another thing. I had an apt with an unvented dryer once. In the basement. I was single then so it rarely happen but if i did like three loads in succession, the first load came out dry. The second load not as dry and the third load damp because of the increased humidity. With a family doing 4 or 5 loads in a day, this would not work and i doubt a dehumidifier would catch the moisture that fast to make a difference.

If you are contemplating doing something like this, you would be wise to either use the pro as you seem to want to do or already posess knowledge on penetrating walls. I do a lot of things but penetrating masonry walls is one thing i avoid on these narrow houses due to the proximity to windows and doors and the risk to the above structure working too close to these. I would not trust pics to get one through this on masonry. Wood with studs is different.

I say this because i have thought about making a penetration for a stove on my own house and every where i look, it is too close to something else.

They might vent. I imagine any dryer is going to create a lot of humidity. Just won’t have the fumes created by burning natural gas.

We have an indoor vent for our dryer in the basement — but we also run a dehumidifier nearby to counter the extra humidity from the dryer and the basement in general. It seems to work.

i had a ventless washer/dryer combo and it was terrible, everything came out damp and linty.
