Ikea Runnen Installed over Steel Bar Grating Deck?

Hello, I have a deck with a steel bar grating floor. Since the holes are quite large, furniture will be tricky, so I’m thinking of installing the Ikea Runnen plastic interlocking deck tiles. However, I’ve only seen them installed over concrete.
Does anyone know if Runnen can be installed over steel bar grating?
