how much should it cost to tile about 4-5 feet of wall in a tiny bathroom about

Actually 64″ x 24″ is only about 10 sq. ft. At $3.00 psf, $30 worth of tile. You sure you have your measurements right?

64-24 inches. About 90 sq ft of tile? Ballpark cost. I feel like my contractor is gouging me! Subway tiles and a trim of about 15 pieces.

Is this part of a larger job, or did you ask your contractor just to perform this work? If only this work, then the job is probably too small, so he’s giving you his pie-in-the-sky, sucker price. This seems more like a neighborhood handyman job. Best place for handyman recs is the local yahoo group for your specific neighborhood.

What EJR said. That said, most handymen do a piss poor job at tiling unless they have done a lot of it.
