Homeless shelter Lexington Avenue

I learned this weekend that the BRC shelter on Lexington avenue will be changed from a women’s shelter to a shelter exclusively for men with mental illness.

While sympathetic to the cause, there is currently no consultation or assessment of the impact this has on the neighborhood, not to mention the impact on the displaced women.
