Help for reccs for Savant/crestron/control4 integrator

Anyone have an integrated system (lights, shades, thermostat but not security) like savant/crestron/control4, and if so, any reccs on a company to install?

On the flip side, are these integrated systems unnecessary and not worth the money since there are all these different DIY kits (caseta, nest, etc)
