Grinding & Polishing Porcelain Tile Floor Lippage

You cannot grind porcelain tile. All you will end up with is the color/glaze off and the porcelain raw. A huge mess.

I have a recently-installed kitchen floor made of 1″ porcelain hex tile that has significant lippage and overall unevenness throughout. The tile is 1/4″ thick and pressed into slow setting thin-set over self-leveler over Ditra uncoupling membrane. Does anyone have experience grinding & polishing this kind of floor? Any recommendations would be helpful.
