Gas Companies

Moving to Boerum Hill and having trouble getting a gas company. National Grid NYC Metro says “We cannot process applications for new and expanded gas service in Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island until we receive state and federal approval for the NESE Project.” ConEd does not cover Brooklyn. What do you guys use?

Nat Grid is the only option here. This is an ongoing political issue—they want more service pipes and the state failed their application. You might call them up and say it’s just a change of name to existing service, not new gas service.
