Furniture repair and restoration

I wanted to respond to the thread asking for recs but it’s closed (can you not close threads so quickly??).

I needed a large chest of drawers fixed (there were a few problems) so I contacted Room and Board, which is where I bought the piece many years ago. They suggested the company below that apparently does all kinds of work with furniture, including antiques. I filled out the online form and they got back to me via phone within a day.

I had my appointment today. It was a 1-4pm window and the repairman called 15 minutes before arriving and got here just about at 1. He was very professional and quickly fixed all the problems and my unit seems like new now. He seemed to really know what he was doing and said he does a lot of work on antiques and wood restoration projects. The rate seemed pretty reasonable: $150 total, which is what I was expecting based on what I was told when I made the appointment (I knew he wouldn’t need to provide many parts).
