Fireplace seal

Do you mean those inflatable chimney blockers? If so, no, those are not safe. They are intended to be used when you want to seal up your chimney to help keep draft out of your house when the chimney is not in use.

Thought I posted this – but can’t find – so sorry if shows up twice. 80 year old has fireplace even older that I want to put convert to gel logs in. Need to seal the flue into chimney. Have looked at blow up liner to use – is this safe? Can use any simple solutions anyone has!!!
