Fire Code HPD inspections

I have just received a general email notice from HPD about new fire codes that need to be in place. I have a multi-family brownstone with sprinkler system through-out. I have everything they are requesting but the Fire Regulations that they are requiring to be on the inside of every apartment door. Previously it had just said posted in main hallway. Now they want them on display in the apartments?
It will look like a hotel or something. Does anyone have insight on this?

I bought clear 8.5×11 plexiglass and stuck the notice under that on the inside as mandated.
I’d rather have it unsightly for the tenant than fines for me, which HPD does not hesitate to do.
