Exterminator recommendations please

I have not had roaches but recently began seeing mice. I used Evergreen and they charged me 375 plus tax for one unit They laid out traps and basically told me to seal up all the holes. I had been asking my contractor to do for months but fine if he needs to see on a exterminator’s report. Evergreen will seal small holes but nothing exceeding 3″. I am careful not to leave food accessible and mostly have grains etc stored in glass or hard plastic but now I’ve basically boxed even the couple of things that I had in original cardboard packaging. Mine was a one off which has a warranty of 2 months; they offer month to month as well.

We’re doing a gut reno and planning to bring in an exterminator as soon as demo is done. We don’t have any special requirements that we know of, but looking for general pest remediation/prevention etc. Like I’d be surprised if these people didn’t have roaches. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I had Terminix and got rid of them. Even after complaining to higher-ups, they couldn’t give us the service we were paying for. They’re based in Staten Island, if I recall, and they really didn’t like doing extra visits even though they’re guaranteed as part of the package.

Right now, I’m with Empire as well. We’ve had them for years, and we’re happy. They charge us $43.55 for a monthly visit in our three-story townhouse with a basement. They always hit every wall, corner and doorway.

It’s the same guys listed above, on Court Street. Maybe I’m grandfathered in at an older rate? Please don’t rat me out. Lol. Seriously, though, that seems high. Check chains like Orkin and Terminix and use their rates to negotiate. Terminix a few years ago was 33 a month.
