Exterminator for German cockroaches

Firstly you should have to DIY, use boric acid which is very effective to get rid of cockroaches, you can also buy some roaches spray to kill them. If these techniques get failed then you should definitely call a cockroach exterminator.

I have a German cockroach infestation and I need a recommendation for a good exterminator. I tried Kingsway and was very disappointed. If anyone has had experience with this type of pest and a good service to eliminate them, please advise! Thanks.

I used to use Kingsway too and they really fell off to the point that I just stopped using them. Unfortunately, your issue is not as simple as exterminating. You have to figure out what is causing them to make your home ground zero. If you line in an apartment you can do all you want but if your neighbors are pigs then you got to pull them in to the solution. Next you need to address what in your space makes it hospitable and clear that up (food out, source of water, dampness, dark hidy-holes and crawl spaces. Then you need to try and find stuff the will neuter the mom carrying eggs. There used to be a rat poison call Tres Pacitos “3 steps” That Shyt was GREAT. Unfortunately they made it illegal awhile back but you can still find some bodega that carry it. sprinkle that and boric acid around the perimeter of the place and that will keep them at bay. Also try bombing the place. Also go online. You may be able to find professional grade stuff to lay down.

Thanks. I don’t live in an apartment building. I have a house I share with my family. We’re neat and clean and don’t know why this is happening. I read that spraying and fumigating are ineffective against German cockroaches. And that boric acid and traps are more effective — I guess because they track these poisins back to the nest. I’m honestly done trying to manage it myself and just want to pay someone to do it, but someone good. B Lewis

Bartonlewis, how is it going with the cockroaches? You mentioned some of my suggested methods from my blog [](http://www.howtokillcockroaches.org “How To Kill Cockroaches”)when dealing with the pests yourself! Did you end up getting professional help? What did they do to help you with the problem? Remember that the best defense is a good offense. Keep placing those traps every few months just in case one decides to walk into the danger zone… It won’t make it back to it’s friends!

I am using AFederal Exterminating. They are terrific. Finally found a service that works. They told me some companies water down their poison. Also AFederal switches poisons every few times they visit. In general they are just really thorough about hitting cracks and places where roaches hide and spend a lot of time looking at infested areas. I highly recommend them.
