Energy Audit and Consulting for Brownstone
I am starting on a good bit of work on my brownstone but will not necessarily be replacing a lot o the systems or insulation. I do want to improve the carbon footprint of my home however, and am looking for a good source of guidance on these issues. Any recommendations?

I used GreenHomeLogic. They were very professional. Took infrared photos and did an analysis of building envelope outlining options for improvement.

I do complete Heating System Evaluations in NYC brownstones, row houses, multi-family buildings, industrial systems, etc, all the time.
Though I can find trouble areas in the building envelope using a thermal imaging camera, it’s not an “energy audit”, per se. Instead, it’s a thorough assessment of what’s going on with your steam or circulating water-based heating system compared to what it ought to be doing or is capable of. I do the same thing for buildings with domestic hot water problems, pressure booster systems, and pumps of all kinds.
