emergency electrician
not sure if this is a con ed issue or for an electrician but i noticed that my hot water boiler wasn’t powering on around 5 pm. then about 830 half my duplex lights stopped working. these are on two separate panels neither of which has been touched in over a year if not way longer for the cellar panel. at a loss and looking for advice and possibly names who could help on short notice during this crisis. appreciate anything anyone has to offer and trying to not panic. have notified coned

Heat and hot water is an emergency. They can’t let you go a week to 10 days without heat or hot water, that’s outrageous. Plus we’re still technically in heating season. Call them, badger them on the street, call your community board, call your council rep, raise a ruckus.

i am per con ed back up in a ‘jury rigged jumper cable fashion’ that still gives me no heat or hot water but at least the fridges work? they say they need inside the man hole to fix but that wont be for a week to ten days at least and will be harder with alternate side parking suspended indefinitely and the manhole access a legal parking spot. zero clarity from con ed.

Call coned first, perhaps a rain related problem coming from the feed out in the street. Also check your brakers and reset them but it sounds like one of the power legs went down
