Electrical line an exterior air-shaft
I review proposed condo/coop alteration plans for multifamily buildings on behalf of three managing agents. The biggest drawback is aesthetic. Second to that is waterproofing at the entry and exit points. I usually recommend against it.

A unit in our building has proposed to wire up a new high-ampage electrical line from the main breaker in order to accommodate a stove/oven as part of a kitchen relocation. I imagine more folks in the building might be inclined to do the same in the future. Anyone know if this is typical and are there any drawbacks to this sort of work?
