DOB Visit Protocol

Don’t let them in. Don’t give them a reason. Tell them now is not a good time. Don’t say anything about warrents. Unless they think you are doing something really bad, they won’t return.

I’ve read several comments stating or suggesting that you not let a DOB representative in your house. If someone from the DOB comes to your house unexpectedly, what do you tell them when they ask to come in? Is there a law or policy that you reference like “do you have a search warrant”?
