Corner Lot
more windows, often more floors (in 19th c rowhouse districts), smaller yard, maybe a garage, sometimes the garage is decked, yard has less privacy. More windows means more money to replace all the windows. Also more heat loss. In some houses, more windows translated to more (but smaller) bedrooms. Sometimes in a rowhouse district the corner buildings were little apartment buildings.
Good if you are a car person and bad if you are a yard person.
If it’s the R6 part of E Flatbush, assuming there’s still a booming market, developers will be eyeing a corner lot as they can build with more lot coverage. If it’s the R5 part, less likely.

many corner lots do not have yards, could make the house less desirable

Are you looking to buy a house on a corner lot or a vacant corner lot? If the latter, there are some severe zoning restrictions that can limit what you can build (e.g., having to have wide lots on both street sides that leave you with a very narrow building).

I generally like corner properties. They usually have more windows which equals light and its easier to carve out extra legal rooms vs railroad style attached properties. If its commercially zoned, the property would also have more frontage for a store. Also the backyard could allow for a parking space / driveway. I know some folks don’t like them because its more sidewalk to clean and shovel. If its in a really high crime neighborhood or at a really big/noisy street corner then it might be a minus if its residential zoned only — unless its a under developed property like a 2 fam on a R-7 zone property. In which case if the neighborhood takes off it should be worth a bit extra to a developer in the future for the above reasons.

If in the right district, corner lots, or properties within 100′ of a corner can be fully built out at the ground floor, pretty attractive if a mixed use option exists.

Its a corner lot in east flatbush, has a house not vacant. I’m a bit worried about resale potential because we periodically relocate for work, so we may have to sell in 10 yrs or so.
Just wanted to get an idea of what others may think.

Exactly my worries, this has a much smaller backyard than other homes we have been looking at because its on the edge.

Depending on the corner; they are generally much noisier.
You are also more exposed to break-ins, vandalism & traffic accidents (cars ending up in your front yard. ) If you are in a landmark district, landmarks has a much bigger say in what you can do with your house and in many jurisdictions you can not even install a high fence for privacy.
Also snow shoveling and sidewalk repairs & maintenance as well as pedestrian littering accumulates on corners..
I have owned a couple of corner lot properties in Brooklyn; I will not own a third, unless it is a real bargain.
