Contractor to help with punch list

Anybody recommend someone who could help me do a punch list/ walkthrough foe my new place in Brooklyn Heights? Is like someone who could possibly take on tasks once identified during the walkthrough. Thanks!

On our last two projects, the contractors scheduled a walk through with me, the homeowner, to create the list together, then they fixed all the issues in one day a couple weeks later.

Call me a pessimist. I have tried doing this list multiple times only for the contractor and subs to disregard it and make up their own list which didn’t have any of my details. I am convinced they do this on purpose to say something isn’t covered. My suspicion is this list is enforced either when there is a project manager on the project or the architect/contractor have a good working relationship and the GC listens to the architect.

here is the problem with trying to source this kind of person. they will have to be at the management level (read “years of experience”) to know all of this stuff and to do it professionally and not make a mess of it. for that person to survive in this environment, they have to be busy all the time and they cannot take stuff like this – they already have a couple of irons in other fires. something like this would be perfect for a retiree (but technically you still need a license and insurance). if you do find someone who is operating a business i would expect them to bill at close to $100 per hour.
