Combining electric meters

I would like any advice on the pros and cons of combining 4 existing electric meters into a single electric meter. I currently have 4 separate meters for my home. Our CO used to be 4 family but we changed it to 2 family 10 years ago. The contractor who did the work was supposed to convert the meters down to two meters but lost interest and never came back at the end.

Our tenant is leaving next month and we are not replacing them so, I’d prefer to have a single meter and avoid the fees for each meter to ConEd and to save the space.

I have two gas meters(the original contractor did combine the 4 gas meters to 2) but now I would probably combine them as well.

I would appreciate it if you could provide me with some information on the following:

1. Any thoughts on the cost of combining the meters
2. Any potential problems or complications that could arise from combining the meters
3. Any other factors that I should consider before making a decision
4. Reco mmendations on who, I see Ceriello recommended multiple times here.
