clothing hanger pole paint is chipping

any suggestions for this besides painting it again? If I paint it again I feel it will evulventualyl start chipping when I slide my hangers

Check out Hafele closet rods, they are made out of aluminum or steel and come in 2 different shapes and several colors.

Either strip the pole or, since that’s a lot of work, replace it with an unpainted wooden pole or metal pipe.
