'Clear path' on roof: steel fabricator recommendations?

In closing out old open permits on my 2-story+basement brownstone, the final DOB inspection resulted in a fire code violation for lack of a clear path from front to back.

As an architect, I’ve designed these kinds of stairs. Your work will need to be filed at the building department, fabricated and installed, and then inspected.

Sorry, that posted before I was done… My clear path is blocked by dunnage supporting HVAC equipment. All of it dates from before the clear path was required, but that doesn’t matter now — we have to clear the violation by building a steel bridge (3 steps up, platform, then 3 steps down) over the I-beams. Has anyone on the board done a project like this, and do you have a fabricator/contractor to recommend? Thanks.
