Brownstone skylights and upper tenant drama

Actually, I wonder if it’s against firecode for a 2-family. I ask because we already have a fire hatch (separate of the two skylights). The two skylights are fixed…

I know that some skylights if Pitched can serve as a “vented” skylight but Velux skylights are a different story. At the end of the day you installed a solution that works. If you have to water proof a bit better then call the installer and have no more conversations with the tenant about the path you took. It’s done.
