Brownstone Repair Recommendations

We are looking for a company to do brownstone repair and brick pointing – that is not very expensive but good.
Has anyone worked with Z. Abedin or similar? Thank you!

I’ll highly recommend Mohammed Kabir at 917-407-9058. He paved our patio, repointed brick, restored brownstone, and painted. He has since done similarly good work for two of my neighbors. Though he’s rather difficult to understand, we’re all happy customers, and all rather amazed by his low prices! You can tell him that Stephen on South Oxford Street recommended him.

A bit late to reply, but I’ve had good experiences with Anthony Bauer: 347-307-4725.

Anthony is a mason by trade. He repointed basement interior brick for me, built a beautiful brick planter, and did some restoration and structural masonry work to stop our brownstone stoop from falling apart even more than it already has. When it’s time in a few years to fully redo the stoop and repoint our (landmarked) facade he’s the guy I’ll be going to. His work is high quality and fairly priced.

I suppose there are areas where a cheap mediocre job might be OK ( although I can’t think of an example, but a poorly done facade restoration would be very difficult to repair.

not very expensive and good are mutually exclusive in the construction industry. think about it, in the job you do, do you want to be cheap or good?

Kevin Morgan repointed the front of my limestone and brick house and resurfaced the brownstone on the houses on either side of my house.
