Best Way To Vent Hot Air From Top Floor?

I second Lurker’s rec for a Velux solar powered skylight. It’s a game changer! l ordered one with white, milk glass instead of standard clear glass, and think it’s well worth the extra lead time and cost.

We installed a large one of these to replace the skylight over the stairs and love it to pieces. it runs on a tiny solar panel, shuts automatically when there’s rain and integrates with smart home platforms so you can schedule it or, depending on your system, have it open automatically if the temperature upstairs goes above X temp (for example). https://www.veluxusa.com/products/skylights/solar-powered
installation is identical to installing any other skylight, which isn’t trivial if you are changing the size of the hole, but since we were doing stuff already it made sense.
