Asbestos inspection for work permit

You need for a CO filing to erect a roof deck and depending on whether your bldg is a 2-3 Family or Multiple Dwelling the Asbestos Report is from $600 to $900 with the combined expediting of Scott Schnall, PE and Sketch & Hammer, Deck Specialist.

Has anyone recently done this? Asbestos inspection is needed to file for a work permit in NYC. Wondering if you can recommend someone good and what is ball park fee for this inspection these days?

How big is the area? Our inspection was $2k (we had 70something samples) and abatement was $8k for our rear facade.

Inspections are done once the entire scope of work is fleshed out. The asbestos inspector only samples from the areas to be worked on. We know a reasonable person. They charge for each probe/sample and an initial show up to the site fee. Google direct access expediting. The area to be tested determines the price, and I didn’t see how big it is. Thanks
