Asbestos inspection

I’ve received one quote for 700-1500 and another for 3300-4550. Is there any reason not to use the low cost provider? Are there credentials I can or should be checking?

Nys dept of labor and nys dep issue asbestos investigator license. I found this on a nyc.gov website. I would read the city websites as the are often more stringent than the state. I would read a little more and back up what I just said using search terms dep labor New York city asbestos investigator license as I just pulled this fast and do not have time to read further, this morning.

There is a licensing body for inspectors and people who do the work. Check on line to see which agency issues the license.

If you do not need a written report or are not having an inspection done because of pending work, you can order test kits that you can put small samples in yourself and send them off for analysis.
