Appointment with one company, tech from a different company shows up?

I contacted a highly rated company listed in the Brownstoner Services section and set up an appointment. When the guy was a little late I called the company to confirm my appointment. They told me there was no record of me, my appointment, or even my address in the system. Shortly after I hung up, a tech called me to say he was running a little late but would still make the appointment. I asked if he was from the company I called, and he said yes. After the appointment, he handed me a card from a different company (with sparse reviews and none concerning the specific type of issue I’m dealing with) and said “I’m the one who will be doing your work.”
What’s going on here? Should I be concerned?
