Annual maintenance for Mitsubishi mini split system

The company that installed our HVAC system (48k btu Mitsubishi hyper heat, with 4 wall units inside plus one 24k btu concealed ducted unit for the main living floor) just quoted me $840/year for 2 annual service cleanings (washing coils, washing filters, checking refrigerant pressures). This seems like an awful lot of money to me. First of all, are 2 annual services really necessary or can I get away with 1 per year, and how much are other people paying for similar service? Thank you!

beyond the filter i have to clean my blower wheels once a year. it is pretty simple once you get the hang of it, but requires a specialized screwdriver and some diy drive. also the knowledge that someone is going to charge you $300 a unit motivates.

We have a combination: ducted on the parlor floor and 4 wall hung units throughout the rest of the home. I’ve definitely been keeping the filters cleaned, so it looks like I can likely put this off – the price just seems outrageous for what one is actually getting in return.

Ducted or Wall hung —if everything is working properly all you need to do is clean the filters on the air handlers and that you can do yourself
