Add Powder Room to Garden Level

I’m buying a 30×20 brownstone and want to add a powder room to the garden level. I would like to somehow make it unobtrusive if this is possible. Very small is fine. The stairs are up and down, so no room under the staircase… Has anyone else struggled with this and be willing to share ideas? The current kitchen runs along the rest of the stairway wall to the back of the house. I am going to be renovating the kitchen with an island, etc. so want to add the bathroom when I do that. I would greatly appreciate any ideas or experience anyone can share.
