7/10 Heavy rain - Velux skylight leak

Mine are curb installed. It’s possible for a skylight to leak as time goes by. Some of the leak warranties are 10 years so it could be time to replace. I have a leak in my Velux skylight (installed in 2003 or 2002). It is in a tenants unit on the top floor. Do I need a roofer or someone to fix the skylight? I called Velux and they said since the skylight was not installed by one of their installers there is NO warranty. Any suggestions? Is Velux just a bad product I saw a few post on the Forum about issues. Not sure if they were every resolved.

We’ve had Velux for 6 years now with no leaks. It could also be sealing around the skylight – where is the leak?

Looks like all 4 corners. I cant tell where it is coming from. Any suggestions on a fix?

That sounds like a sealing issue – I would start with a roofing company. I’ve learned it’s best to always talk to 2-3 people. Try these guys (don’t know them) but seem like they could help. https://www.yelp.com/biz/fr-construction-brooklyn-7
