2 family duplex to a 2 family and 1 floor rental.

Sky is the limit if you have the money and the time needed to get the permission from the DOB.  An Architect needs to get involved to determine if you have enough FAR to do your triplex plus separate rental.

Hey everyone, I wanted to ask how difficult would it be to convert this double duplex to a owner’s triplex and a 1 floor rental?  Also, what are some concerns I should have with looking at a property like this?   Thanks for help!

If it is of combustible construction, it will be a problem. If the unit is in a cellar not the basement, then it will be a problem. Both can be dealt with.
