Anyone interested in renting out home for a student short which is a period piece?

Hello,

I am looking for a home that could work for a period piece set in the 19th century. I am a Brooklyn College student as well as adjunct faculty at FIT producing a short thesis film that is set in the late 19th century. We are looking for interiors that could work for filming. I was wondering if you could inform me of anyone who might be interested. I know that some neighborhoods have house tours and I was wondering if anyone one of the home owners are interested. Please let me know if you can or can’t assist me on this endeavor. We are looking to shoot the weekend of May 9th. We will only need the home for 1 day.

There is compensation and also my art department is responsible for moving any furniture. However, before we move anything we ask your permission and we also take photographs before so that everything is placed back where it belongs.  how small or large are the rooms? Do you happen to have pictures?

Is any compensation offered to homeowners to cover expenses relating to staging the home for filming?  There are a lot of brownstone owners with late 19th century brownstones (1880, 1890) with built-ins, wainscoting etc. that really look like period-piece homes, but clearing out the space to remove modern flat-screen TVs, DVD players, computers, etc. could be time-consuming, so might help to know who is expected to do that prep work and possibly compensate people for their time in having to put their homes back together, if not their loan of the space itself… (not trying to profit from helping, but don’t want to lose too much time or money either) we live in Bay Ridge and have a room or two that might work well, but for the above.  (and you might do better to find BIGGER rooms since filming is one thing, but finding the space to set up a camera and get the perspective could require a bigger room that would then look smaller)
