Bike Storage in Front Yard

I hang my bike in my garage storage renovated by Garage living in Ontario. You can hang in several positions such as parallel to wall, perpendicular to wall or from ceiling itself. But you must fit a ground anchor to the ceilings to secure your bike.

I’ve looked into this fairly thoroughly & haven’t found a good solution. I wanted to store 4 bikes for tenants but it takes an extraordinary amount of room. I’ll be interested in any replies you get.

I have also been researching this pretty extensively and came up empty. The most promising potential solution I found was a storage tent called “YardStash” (www.yardstash.com/photos), but it only fits two bikes and is too tall for my front yard. I am currently considering building a makeshift structure out of tarps or something similar, but I fear how ugly it will look. Hopefully someone can offer a better solution.

That’s a good solution if the stoop storage is big enough. Unfortunately, in my house, I can only shoehorn one bicycle in there (at an extreme angle). Plus, it is difficult (nearly impossible) to get the bike in and out with the inward-swinging gate in the under-stoop entrance.

We’ve found we can fit two bikes under the stoop, with the bikes half sticking out. We can get one in with our inward swinging under stoop gate. To get the second one in, we have to open our door and scoot it into our entry, then out and close the door.

Is there room to build something that looks like a bin for trash barrels? You could make something out of cedar or redwood. T&G sealed or lined would keep out the rain. Hinge the top as well as gate hinge the front. Dont need a lot of depth to store a few bikes, especially if you have enough length to store two end to end or slight overlap. Matt R www.nyc-hs.com
