Like most brownstone owners we have a mix of old and new wiring in our house. we have been having some electrical issues and we are looking for a reliable, knowledgable electricain to check out some of our lines to make sure everything is safe. Can anyone recomend a good electricain ? Thanks in advance

I will be the dissenting voice with regards to Ceriello.  I have had my 4-story brownstone for 12 years and over the years have worked on many different projects and with a variety of contractors (complete gut renovation of 4 floors over the years, new flue and chimney, complete facade renovation, new iron work, etc).  My experience with Ceriello is with having them come to do a bid on the 4th floor renovation.  I had a total of 5 different licensed electricians who work in Carroll Gardens bid on the job, everyone came in with a cost estimate of $4-5k range, except for Ceriello. They sent me an estimate of $12k because they tried to convince me that I needed to do more work than was necessary.  When I showed this to the other licensed electricians they literally laughed.  One even told me to save my money and put it toward a vacation once I get through the renovation. That is my personal experience, but I am glad if others have had a positive experience, I only hope the people who hired Ceriello got multiple bids for comparative purposes!
