I still have not taken any photos, but I know Anthony took some– ask him to show you the “stone shanty” he made for us!  The opening in the wall job turned out well.

Just wanted to share a recent great experience we had with Anthony Bauer, who is a mason and stoneworker.  He laid a bluestone patio in our backyard, installed a drain, and did a cosmetic makeover on our ugly cement-block storm shed– now it’s been faced with bluestone so it looks like a stone cottage, complete with artistic little ledges to rest pots on, and it has a new metal roof too.   Anthony’s currently working on some additional projects for us: cutting a new opening in a brick firewall and installing a cement countertop.  His prices are reasonable, he’s prompt and reliable, and he’s full of creative ideas. It will probably be a while before I have time to upload a photo, but if you like you can ask Anthony to send one because I know he took some photos of our backyard work.  Ditto on the licensure question.  I believe my husband originally found him on Brownstoner?  He got bids from a few different guys to repair some damage that a utility company had caused when they were jackhammering on our street (the vibrations caused the ceiling of the area under our stoop to crack and fall).  We went with Anthony and the job turned out well, so that’s why we asked him to do the patio, etc.

Hi Stuymom, I had Anthony give me an estimate yesterday based on your recommendation.  Curious if you have had a chance to take photos of the work and how you feel now that he’s done more for you on other projects.  Has anyone else used him?
