Where would you get pocket doors?

I’m looking to put up a partition wall with some pocket doors. I’ve purchased Johnson hardware, which looks great, but now I’m looking for pocket doors. I’m talking to a place in NJ called Manhattan Doors, who would be ordering some “reinforced” MDF doors made by a company called TruStile, but I was wondering if anyone knew of local door makers for pocket doors? I’m looking for 96″ tall by 32″ wide doors, so Home Depot/Lowes is out, plus I’d rather not give them my money.

I have a pair of pocket doors 30 1/4 ” and 30″ x 96″. They have been stripped and primed for reinstall and were never used. They have a simple flat panel on the bottom and the top half is glass which is missing.  The architectural parts warehouse in Albany, NY usually has some around and I would be happy to check there for you if you are interested. We ended up selling ours to the Ft. Greene salvage yard, they tend to have some decent stuff, give them a shot.

If you want to go old-school, you can get antique pocket doors, which often come with cool original hardware. We got ours from Roy the iron guy in the Lowes parking lot, but a lot of salvage guys have them.

Google pocket doors, there’s some mail order place that offers solid wood and they’re not too expensive. You can order four panels, five, six, etc., as appropriate for your house.
