Hi group, Our exterior wood door doesn’t close well anymore and it needs to be stripped, sanded, have a stain job, and I’m looking for recommendations for the job. We’re in Park Slope/Gowanus. Any help welcome!

I recommend Steve at http://www.thetinkerwagon.com. He just refinished my exterior doors. They are the envy of the block. He was also very helpful with Lock set selection.

I second the recommendation for Steve of Tinker’s Wagon — he refinished and installed our double doors, repaired and refinished the surround, and installed new molding and paneling in the vestibule to match existing.  The price was right, too.
