DoB and my property

Hey all. Pretty simple question. We own a three story building. Next to us a large development company is renovating and adding stories to a building. We of course have been pelted with debris and it’s becoming increasingly contentious, and our efforts to be reasonable, good neighbors are being taken advantage of. A rep from the company says that they can use the DoB to force us to accept scaffolding on our property, without compensation. I say this is wrong. It’s our property and they cannot place anything on our roof, especially without compensation. Who is right?

Talk to a construction lawyer. Take pictures, obsessively. And any time they spend on your property, whether court imposed or mutually agreed upon, should have a hard timeframe and consequences.

I had 2 guys from the DOB at my house yesterday and they told me you do not want scaffolding on your property because then you are liable is someone is injured while on your property.
