Advice on White paint color for trim

Hi – I am painting my parlor floor atrium white, which is a slightly pinkish white.  I am looking for advice on what (semi-gloss) white I should paint my trim for contrast.  Any ideas?  Is BM Super White too white?  I don’t like having the trim the same color as the walls.

Well, after using it in an exterior hallway, I’m not a fan of pinkish Atrium White, anyway, and would never use it again, so take what I say with a grain of salt.  Different whites work for different eyeballs, I guess.  I do think the palest grey-based white would tone down the pink a bit, though.

I like the idea of a white with the Atrium white. Crisp. Classic. Cloud white looks nice. You could also try Mountain Peak White BM OC-12

hmmm – I think I already did super white with atrium white and it looked fine to me – but I’m not a designer so not very sensitive to these things.  I will look at white heron – any other ideas?  I think anything other than white would look weird.  what about cloud white?

Atrium white is so cool, I can’t imagine a white that would look good with it for the trim.  When we used it in our exterior hallway, we used a darker color in the pink/red family for the trim.  Have you thought about using an actual darker color for the trim? There would be a lot of choices then.  Usually, I like creamy beige off-whites for trim, but none of those would go well with Atrium.   I agree, a white white would look terrible with it.  Perhaps an off-white with a light grey tone would look good with the pinkish cast of Atrium White.

The other Benjamin Moore ready mix whiter off whites (super white, white and decorators white) look too cool to me with Benjamin Moore Atrium White interior ready mix. You might want to try Benjamin Moore OC-57 White Heron.
