front hatch leaking
hi all, we have the regular metal cover for our front hatch. the same one as you see in front of stores. needless to say that water leaks every time it rains. we’re trying not to change the cover for now. i have read that we can cover it with rubber, but dont know what to look for exactly. anyone can help me and direct me for an exact name or link? sorry i dont have any experience with terminology and can really use some help.

I put an additional bilge pump under one of the front hatch bungee, haven’t had a leak problem!

If saritro’s hatch is anything like mine it’s not the pitch that is the problem, it’s the hatch itself. Not water-tight by any stretch. Any rain means water inside without the mat covering it. I will eventually replace it but for now it works fine.

You may want to pitch the surrounding paving away from it.

I used american floor mats. You can probably find something at home depot. You just need something the covers the hatch and directs the water away instead of under it.
