Legal Recreation Room: Needs Window?

I am in the process of doing this.  It doesn’t require windows, but does require ventilation to be installed, if no windows.  No partitioning is allowed, just one room.  A closet is a posibility. 2 egresses required, no drop ceiling, must be sheetrocked ceiling (I assume for fire).  Minimum 7ft. ceiling height (check me on this, but pretty sure).  If you have a main beam running down the depth of your house (front to back) that happens to be below 7ft, this will not necessarily be a problem for the height requirement.  Good Luck

Duplexing an apartment ino the basement creates a “recreation” room. Do recreation rooms require any sort of a window to be legal? Thanks.
