DOB inspection for letter of no objection?

Is there generally DOB inspection involved with the filing of letter of no objection? I recently had a DOB inspection after I filed a permit to remove some illegal kitchens/baths in the house (by previous owner). As part of the permit filing, a current drawing of the house was filed and approved by DOB during audit exam. I passed the inspection with no problem and my expeditor was able to sign off. Now, I’m in the process of requesting a letter of no objection to have a legal two family unit.
