Wall hung toilet
I’m finisning up a bathroom reno. I am having the Happy D wall hung toilet with the Geberit carrier. It took longer to install becasue there more pipes, vents and drains in the walls than we knew about. If space inside the walls could be an issue you might want to open up and see if you have room for the carrier before you order items that could be difficult to return.

I am in the process of trying to design a tiny powder room on the parlor floor and want to use a wall hung toilet to save space and be green. Has anyone had any experience with these, er, “thrones”? I am looking at a low end Toto atria, dual flush. And advice much appreciated…

I do. What do you want to know? There’s not much to it except to get the carrier in the wall to sit solidly. That’s a big challenge and sometimes the GC or carpenter can handle that better than the plumbers. The toilet’s outlet piping is critical, too. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to the letter on this and you’ll be fine. I’ve got many of these in place all over the city. Consider using the Geberit carrier system: http://www.geberit.us/pdf/GNA7087.pdf

A friend of mine just spent 6 hours replacing a part on his recessed tank wall hung toilet……..something to think about.
Have you looked at kohler? we have their san raphael toilet and it looks/feels very compact
