need sources to keep my brownstone honest

sourcing a lot of things myself right now for my reno project in south williamsburg. I’m deciding between these two vendors for reclaimed wood floors:

I recently had some landscaping work (drainage and bluestone patio) done by Eddie Cintron (917-312-9530) after I read glowing reviews in the old forum. I was pretty specific about what I wanted done, so I’m not sure about his design capabilities. If you’ve got some of your own ideas, he’s super nice, responsive and very affordable.

Hello, 

We are just about to close on a single family brick house in greenpoint, built in 1901
We have a contractor and architect, but can’t afford to have them source everything, need to do the leg work ourselves.

It is a complete gut job, and am having trouble finding reasonable prices on
– reclaimed floors / doors / beams
– wooden windows 

Any advice or sources on any of the above, or any other ‘must knows’ would be awesome
Also any reco’s on landscape design would be greatly appreciated.

lots of posts on this forum about landmark quality windows.. don’t know if you can find these discussions in archives with the new site, but there is good info there.

Or you can post each Q as it comes up (ie, where to source wood windows) and you should get good new answers. The more you target your post, the better. If you ask about a source, that often brings out a good amount of detail (I seem to remember extensive discussion of “Windows are We” here, for instance).
