I hear Ionic Casting in Astoria is good, though I have not personally worked with them.  You probably know that restoring plaster molding with plaster molding can get very expensive.

I recently collected a list as part of a large bid, which did not go my way.  I never got  to the point of being able to recommend anybody, but some came highly recommended to me.  I did get an idea of the range of services available.  Some seemed too busy to even make a site visit, untill I was ready to hire.  If you want some referals and you can get back to me on how it works out, I would be delighted to provide.  Aaron  718-858-1853 I also work with wet plaster, especially when that is the period material on my site, mostly bathooms and kitchens, but you can tell me more about it.

Call Eric Paints (google Eric Paints).  Eric has a guy named tony who restores plaster.  he is trained in the restoration of the stuff, not self taught.  I have both their numbers but can not locate now. Steve

I second Abosolute Plastering.  They did a very nice job reattaching a corner medallion that had fallen.  They rebuilt the damaged parts and do very careful work.  I’m definitely going back to them when I redo my living room ceiling.
